James Verley

May 15, 1942 — November 23, 2015

James Martin Verley passed away peacefully November 23, 2015 with his family at his side. Married Mary May Smith April 15, 1964 later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Held the Melchizedek priesthood. Was an avid outdoorsman, tried everything at least once like motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, camping, snow skiing, 4-wheelers, etc.  Retired from FMC after working 42 years.  Prior to working at FMC he was employed with Peter Kewitt, with them he helped build I-80 through Wyoming. And helped build the tunnels by Green River Wy. Was loved by everyone who know him. Will be missed by many.  He is survived by his wife, Mary May (Smith) Verley , three daughters, Tonya Dee Hartman (Dan), Shona Lee Schiermeyer (Greg), Konra Kay Williams (Kevin), two sons, Charles Fredrick Verley (Alice), Rex Martin Verley (Janine). He is also survived by 30 Grandchildren and 20 Great –Granchildren. Also survived by his father, Herbert Leslie Verley, one brother,  Dennis (Valerie) Verley, two sisters, Shery Welch, Candice Landz,  and also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Erickson, one brother, Robert Verley and one sister Rita Case.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday December 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Lyman LDS church in Lyman, Wyoming. Ashes will be layed to rest in Colorado at a later date.
