James Delbert Turner Jr., passed away at his home in Evanston, Wyoming on Thursday, February 27, 2014. He was born on July 26, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Helen (Adams) Turner.
James enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating, home repair, carpet installation, vehicle repair, boat repair, and fixing anything he could get his hands on. He was a real handyman. James also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening and loved to walk his dog Kali. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family. He will truly be missed.
James is survived by his former spouse Cari Turner Jividen; son Jay (Dyann) Turner of Evanston, WY; son Randy Turner of Evanston, WY; son Matt Turner of Casper, WY; son Mark Turner of Evanston, WY; son Chris Turner of Evanston, WY; son James (Spring) Turner of Evanston, WY; son Dan Holiday of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter Michelle Turner of Evanston, WY; 21 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents James and Helen Turner; son James D Turner lll; and daughter Tanya Susan Turner.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home, with services being held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2 pm at the Elm Street LDS Ward Chapel. 251 Elm St., Evanston, WY.
