James Richard Campbell, 69, passed away at his home in Lyman, Wyoming on Friday, August 30, 2013. He was born on July 1, 1944 in Toppinish, Washington to William and Carrie Campbell. He married Kathy Ewing in May of 1996.
James served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Fort Bridger American Legion and a long-time member of the Lion’s Club. He enjoyed being with his friends, hunting, fishing, shooting, riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
James is survived by wife Kathy Campbell; daughter Molly Campbell; Son’s Cyrus Campbell, Ian Campbell; step-children Andrea Owens, Brian Sartor; 14 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers Bill, John, Jerry, and Joe, as well as his sister Lydia Gardner.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Carrie, and a brother Jack Campbell.
As were his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home. A Memorial Service to honor his life will take place on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Fort Bridger American Legion Hall at 2 pm.
