Jack Wardell Marchant

Our dear beloved husband, father, and friend to all, Jack Wardell Marchant returned to his heavenly home on November 5, 2024. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jack Wardell Marchant was born January 1, 1947 to Norval S Marchant and Dorothy Marie Wardell Marchant.

His childhood was spent roaming the mountain and exploring along the Weber River. He grew up on the family ranch where he fostered a love for all gods creations.

He met his eternal companion Dix in high school. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on February 3, 1967. Together they raised 6 amazing children in Peoa where they all learned hard work, dedication, and a love for their family and friends.

Jack was a master gunsmith, a rancher who loved his redheads (red-angus cows), and a weed supervisor for Summit County. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints where he served in the Peoa bishopric, stake high council, and various other church callings. Together he and his wife served two missions.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Norval and Dorthy Marchant, his brother Douglas Marchant, and his sister Connie Marchant.

Jack is survived by his spouse Dixie R Marchant, his 6 children Troy (Michelle) Marchant , Cindy (Steven) Keyes, Jackie (Paul) Anderson, Chuck (Kristy) Marchant, Clint (Katie) Marchant, and Deana (Jared) Crump, 3 brothers, Brent Marchant, Jody (Barbara) Marchant, and Phillip (Valerie) Marchant.  As well as his 25 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
