Irene Andersen Feller, 73, of Randolph, Utah, passed away May 3, 2013 at her home in Randolph, Utah after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 14, 1939 on the Sims Ranch in Almy, Wyoming on Mother’s Day to Joseph R. and Alice Mae (Brown) Andersen.
Irene, as she was known, married Fred Allen Feller on May 24, 1957 in Evanston, Wyoming the same evening she graduated from Evanston High School. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on May 19, 1972. Four children were born to Fred Allen and Irene; Alta, Martin, Steve, and Trudy.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings such as Young Women’s President, Stake and Ward Relief Society President, Humanitarian Specialist, and many other callings. She also served as a Stake Missionary in the Kemmerer, Wyoming Stake in 1988, then later served a couples mission with Fred Allen in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission on the Navajo Reservation from 1998 to 1999.
Irene always served others. She loved to help by taking meals to anyone in need. She loved to cook for her family, especially the grandkids. They all loved grandma’s homemade rolls.
Irene was a secretary for Majestic Ranch in Randolph for over 25 years, and she also worked as a secretary for the Randolph Seminary.
She was very talented and enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, quilting, family history, and spending time with her family. She also faithfully kept a family journal for over 35 years.
Irene is survived by her husband, Fred Allen; her four children, Alta (A.J) Barker of Evanston, Wyoming; Martin (Peggie) Feller of Randolph, Utah; Steve (Jeannine) Feller, of West Jordan, Utah; and Trudy (Rusty) Lym of Evanston, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Alice Dean, one brother Joseph Junior Andersen, two grandchildren Christina Feller and Allen Kinkade Feller.
Funeral services will be held at the Randolph Chapel on Thursday May 9, 2013 at 12:00 Noon.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the Randolph Chapel.
