Herman R. “Robie” DeJongh, passed away at his home on April 22, 2012 at the age of 60. He was born on August 23, 1951 in Harlem, Holland, the son of Maarten and Elizabeth DeJongh.
He married Tamara Clements in Rawlins, Wyoming in 1975. She preceded him in death in June of 2006. He has owned and operated the Fossil and mineral store in Evanston for several years.
He enjoyed being a rock hound. He owned and operated Antares Fossills and Minerals shop in Evanston. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and camping and fishing.
He is survived by a sister, Lily (Tony) Briethupt, of Evanston, WY.; daughters, Lily Ketelsen, of Green River, WY.; Tracy (Shane) Bird, of Rock Springs, WY.; and Lina DeJongh, of Rock Springs, WY. He is also survived by a brother, Maarten DeJongh and a sister, Nancy Crocker. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, Genesis, Kortney, Derek, Abbie, Hailey and Adelyne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be conducted on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. Online condelences may be left at crandallfhevanston.com.
