Helen Coleman Dorethy, 73, of Evanston, WY, passed away 30 April 2021 in Nephi, UT with her sister by her side. She was born on 23 December 1947 in Waukegan, IL to David B. Coleman & Mary Eleanor Markham Dimmitt.
She married Thomas G. Dorethy on 29 April 1972 in Colchester, IL. They were later sealed in the St. George, UT Temple.
Helen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many church callings in the Young Women’s and was Relief Society President 3 different times.
She is survived by her daughter Tawny Dorethy Ivie (Lynn) of Fountain Green, UT, 6 grandchildren Brianna, Spencer, Daimian, Airianna, Isabella, and Azaliah all of Utah. Also survived by her Sister Joan Dimmitt Balser of Palisade, CO, niece Valorie Castle of Grand Junction, CO, nephew Daymon Balser of Manta, Ecuador. Sister-in-laws Jane Royer of Good Hope IL and Janet Dorethy of Brookings, SD.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, her husband Thomas G. Dorethy & Brother-in-law Alan Balser.
A special thanks to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT for taking such great care of her and to Heritage Hills Rehabilitation & Care Center in Nephi, UT. We are forever grateful for all your help. Also, to Gwenda Batty for always being there to take my mom to any appointments she had, shopping and having lunch together.
Burial and Graveside services were held in the Evanston City Cemetery.
