Harvey (Harv) B. Johnston of Evanston, Wyoming passed away Tuesday on September 11, 2012 at his home. Harvey B. Johnston was born on May 12, 1930 in Evanston, Wyoming, to Clarence Edgar and Martha Johnston. He married his wife, Amber I. Cullum on April 21, 1979 in Evanston. Harv lived life to the fullest and was a constant encouragement to those around him. He was deeply loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed. The family extends a very special thank you to all who took such great care of him; words cannot begin to express our gratitude.
Harv has been preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Martha Johnston, two sisters; Thora Brough and Beatrice Larson, and three brothers; Gene, Homer, Newell, and Otis.
Survivors are: his wife, Amber in Evanston, Wyoming, and a brother, Paul Johnston, with wife Martha, in Rocksprings, Wyoming and three stepsons: Bob Cullum in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Steve Cullum in Ogden, Utah and Jimmy Cullum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Harv served 2 years in the U.S. Army as a tank commander. He returned to Evanston to work for Arm and Hammer Company and later owned several small businesses. Harv was instrumental in bring several things to Evanston, like the race track and Evanston Elks Lodge 2588, which he was a life member. May his virtues be written upon the tablets of Love and Memories.
