Van Walker
Gordon LaVan Walker, passed away at his residence on April 21, 2017.
He was born on June 21, 1928 in Peoa, Utah to Stephen Wallace and Rachel Olive (Wright) Walker.
He graduated from South Summit High School. Following high school graduation he entered the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He married Treesa Vendetta Miller on April 17, 1948. She passed away on May 18, 2006. Van later married LuDean Wilde. She also preceded him in death.
Van was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings.
He enjoyed playing golf, and going on cruises with family and friends.
He is survived by his children: G. Kenny (Stacey) Walker of Oakley, Utah; and his daughter: Cindi (Carl) Blackmon of Herndon, VA.
Stepchildren: Wendy (Van) Hadlock; Dale (Cheryl) Wilde; and Susan (Neil) Dawson.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren and 8 great stepgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his spouses, and brothers: Wallace and Reed Walker; and sisters; Leola Wilde and Wilda Wilde.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Peoa LDS Ward Chapel, Peoa, Utah.
Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am on Wednesday prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in the Peoa Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home Kamas.
