Gladyce Lenoir Faulkner, 89, lifelong resident of Evanston, passed away February 8, 2012 at Abbington Manor in Lehi, Utah. Gladyce was a housewife and Mom; serving as president of the U.P. Oldtimers Club #20 Ladies Auxiliary various years while her husband William was employed by the U.P. Railroad. She enjoyed arts and crafts, music (The Eagles, one of her favorite bands) and had a great love of the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, WY.
She was born in Cumberland, WY on April 30, 1922, daughter of Charles and Lenoir Bean- Clark. Gladyce married William Faulkner, Jr. on April 7, 1944.
Survivors include children: Janice Lovato, Evanston; Len (Paula) Faulkner, West Jordan, UT; Lisa Faulkner, Evanston; brother Wayne Clark, Evanston; Richard Salmela (Son-in-Law), Evanston; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Gladyce will always be "Mom" to several nieces and nephews as well.
She is preceded in death by her husband William (2007); daughter Cheryle Salmela (2007) Evanston; daughter Jill Spatafore (2007), Peoria, IL; two younger brothers and two sisters and grandson Michael Lovato (2011).
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Evanston City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 2:15 p.m.
