George Sharp

July 13, 1952 — May 20, 2015

George Scott Sharp passed away at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.  He was born July 13, 1952 in Provo, UT to Ralph and Betty Jex Sharp.  He was married and sealed to Kaye Robinson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in August of 1971.

Scott’s hobbies included fishing, woodworking, and reading and learning.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Scott is survived by his loving wife Kaye of Evanston, WY; children Nathan (Dayna) Sharp of Evanston, WY, Shane (Kristin) Sharp of Melbach, Germany, Eric (Sarah) Sharp of Highland, UT, Jennifer Sharp of Evanston, WY, Caitlin Sharp of Evanston, WY, and Kyra Sharp of Evanston, WY; 16 grandchildren; brothers Lee (Marilyn) Sharp of Vernal, UT, Dennis (Kathy) Sharp of Tridell, UT, Kenneth Sharp of Baton Rouge, LA, and Gregg (Linda) Sharp of St. George, UT; sisters Peggy (Byron) Tolman of Oregon, Paulene (Lynn) Merrell of Roosevelt, UT, and sister-in-law Jan Sharp of Jensen, UT.  He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Betty Sharp and brother Randy Sharp.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1 pm at the Evanston South Stake Center.  Viewing will be held from 11:00 to 12:45 prior to the services.  Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the Jensen Cemetery in Jensen, Utah.
