God giveth and God taketh away.
We all spend a short time on this earth to learn, love and share. When our time is complete, our Father brings us home.
George Joseph Frantzen was called home by our loving Father. Sorrow fills his family and friend’s hearts as we know we will not be able to see him smile, hear his amazing cackle of a laugh, see the sincerity in his eyes, watch him as his soul connects with the outdoors or witness his incredible unselfishness. There will be just a memory of his beauty but his influence and peace affected all that were fortunate to spend time with him. Big Joe was a beautiful soul. A lover of the outdoors and all the animals that called it home. His peace was in the woods, feeling the wind, smelling the pines. Here, he was free of the world. A kid again.
Big Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda. The love of his life, his best friend. His oldest son Joe, his son Tim and his beautiful daughter Christina. An amazingly patient teacher, Big Joe taught his grandkids the outdoors, patience and kindness. Dallas, Brooke (Brookie), Carter, Averee and Aidan (AJ), will live on with their memory of him as Grandpa.
Our family thanks everyone that cared for our dad and everyone that took time to know him. He will be greatly missed on earth, but we know his place in heaven now is where he will be complete.
Services for Big Joe will be held on Wednesday March 9th at 3pm at the LDS Church at 632 Twin Ridge Ave. in Evanston, Wyoming.
