Fidelina Saavedra Villa

Fidelina Saavedra Villa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away unexpectedly in Evanston, Wyoming on November 14, 2021. She was 66. Fidelina was born in La Piedra Pesada, Michoacan, Mexico, to Ranulfo Villa and Adelina Diaz. She grew up very humbly with nine siblings in the Municipio de Nocupetaro until she was sixteen years old.

They settled in La Sauceda, Michoacan, where she was destined to meet the love of her life and soulmate Raul Saavedra Vaca. They were married May 24, 1974 in Zamora,

Michoacan, and blessed with six children, one which left this earth too soon. In 1981 Fidelina moved with her family to the United States seeking to live out the American dream. She worked hard as a field hand and store clerk for many years in Firebaugh, California and relocated to Evanston, Wyoming in 1992, where she proudly became a naturalized citizen of the United States. She worked at McDonalds for eleven years, then became a kitchen aid at the Wyoming State Hospital until the time of her death.

Fidelina was a devoted Catholic and very religious woman. She was a warrior in life, friend to all and saw the best in others. She believed in God, family, and living life to the fullest. She would prioritize others by caring and healing for them before herself. Fidelina was beautiful and loved to sing, share, and show kindness to loved ones as well as those she had just met. She knew how to be present and was quick to greet people with smiles and hugs, and would throw in a blessing for good measure.

Fidelina is survived by her loving husband Raul; children Leticia (Francisco), Rosa (Pancho), Luis (Anel), Raul Jr. (Elpidia), Angelina (Kyle); eighteen grandchildren and eight siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents, one child, two grandchildren and her brother Mario Villa.

Services to be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Evanston, Wyoming. Viewing is Friday, November 19 at 5:00pm, followed by Vigil with Rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass to be held Saturday, November 20 at 11:00am, with committal afterwards at the Evanston City Cemetery.

Fidelina nació en La Piedra Pesada, Michoacán, México, hija de Ranulfo Villa y Adelina Díaz. Creció humildemente con nueve hermanos y hermanas en el Municipio de Nocupetaro hasta los dieciséis años. Se instalaron en La Sauceda, Michoacán, donde estaba destinada a conocer al amor de su vida y alma gemela Raúl

Saavedra Vaca. Se casaron el 24 de Mayo de 1974 en Zamora, Michoacán, y fueron bendecidos con seis hijos, uno de los cuales dejó esta tierra demasiado pronto.

En 1981 Fidelina se mudó con su familia a los Estados Unidos buscando vivir el sueño Americano. Trabajó duro en el campo y empleada de una tienda durante muchos años en Firebaugh, California y se mudó a Evanston, Wyoming en 1992, donde orgullosamente se convirtió en ciudadana naturalizada de los Estados Unidos. Trabajó en McDonalds durante once años, luego se convirtió en ayudante de cocina en el Wyoming State Hospital hasta el momento de su muerte.

Fidelina era una personal devota Católica y muy religiosa. Era una guerrera en la vida, amiga de todos y veía lo mejor de los demás. Ella creía en Dios, en la familia y en vivir la vida al máximo. Ella prioritizaba a los demás cuidándolos y sanándolos antes que a sí misma. Fidelina era hermosa y le encantaba cantar, compartir y mostrar amabilidad a sus seres queridos, así como a los que acababa de conocer. Sabía cómo estar presente y se apresuraba a saludar a la gente con sonrisas y abrazos, y lanzaba una bendición en buena fe.

A Fidelina le sobreviven su amoroso esposo Raúl; sus hijas e hijas Leticia (Francisco), Rosa (Pancho), Luis (Anel), Raúl Jr. (Elpidia), Angelina (Kyle); dieciocho nietos y ocho hermanos y hermanas. Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, un hijo, dos nietos y su hermano Mario Villa.

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo en la Iglesia Católica de St. Maríe Magdalen en Evanston, Wyoming. El velorio será el Viernes 19 de Noviembre a las 5:00 p.m., siguiendo con el Rosario a las 6:00 p.m. La misa funeraria se llevará a cabo el Sábado 20 de Noviembre a las 11:00 a.m., posteriormente en el Evanston City Cementerio.
