Ethel Durene Hutchinson, age 83, passed away peacefully at Rocky Mountain Nursing Center on Friday, March 21, 2014. She was born on January 23, 1931 in Evanston, Wyoming, the daughter of William and Bertha (Robinson) Hutchinson.
Durene helped her father on the family ranch until the time of his death. She continued helping at the ranch until the family leased it out. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoyed collecting model horses, crocheted afaghans, and enjoyed putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed going to day care, and playing cards. She also enjoyed spending time haying during that season of the year.
She loved to have people come and visit her.
She is survived by one sister, Ada Hutchinson, of Evanston, WY.; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three sister in laws, Peggy Hutchinson, Rose Hutchinson, and Mary Hutchinson.
She is preceded in death by her son Robert Eugene Hutchinson, her parents, nine brothers, Bill, Marvin, Alvin, Ervin, Orval, Dorrell, Blaine, Ronald, Abe, and five sisters, Amy Wagstaff, Velma Bedsaul, Dolores Simmons, and Alice Barnes.
Visitation will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Evanston 1st Ward Building. There will also be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment will be held at the Evanston City Cemetery, Evanston, WY.
