Erma Nicholls Putnam, 95, passed away in Evanston, Wyoming on Friday, October 3, 2014. She was born September 17, 1919 to George and Arvilla Dean Nicholls in Argyle, Utah. She married Keith Longhurst Putnam in Woodruff, Utah in December of 1936. They were married for 73 years.
Erma was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed ranching, cooking for her family and Hay Crews, cleaning, tending kids, family reunions, camping and spending time outdoors. She spent many hours serving the elderly within her community. She had an unbelievable love for her family and extended family.
Erma is survived by her children; Lavar (Elva) Putnam; Lanny (Kathy) Putnam; sister Audrey Whiting; 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith; daughter and son-in-law Myrna Jane and David Holman; parents George and Arvilla Nicholls; brothers Dean and George Nicholls; and sisters Betty Kunz, Alice Hickox, and Arvilla Miller.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12 noon at the Woodruff LDS Ward Chapel in Woodruff, Utah. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening at the Chapel from 6-8 pm as well as one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Interment will follow at the Woodruff Cemetery.
