Emery Bond

April 18, 1925 — February 22, 2011

February 22,2011 Emery passed away with his family beside him after a long struggle with bone cancer.

Emery was born on April 18, 1925 to Howard Clarence and Beth (Davidson) Bond, the oldest of five children. He was raised in Robertson and Milburne Wyoming.

He joined the Navy January of 1943 and was in the Pacific Theater on the aircraft carrier Saratoga as an aircraft mechanic. He received a posthumous diploma from Mt. View High School in May of 1943.

He married Joy Nibarger on March 17, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had five children, Sharon, Charlene, Vance, Randy and James.

He owned and operated City service located on Front Street from 1971 until he sold it in 2006. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Emery loved to hunt, go fishing and work on many projects on his property. He also enjoyed rock collecting and telling and listening to stories. Emery loved food and was a connoisseur of every meal he ever ate.

He is survived by Joy his wife of 63 years, daughter Sharon Marmon, Nampa, Idaho, son John Randall (Randy) (Charlotte) Bond Evanston. Also 5 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren, brother Duane (Joyce) of Lafayette, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Vance and James and one daughter Charlene, parents, brothers Robert and Marlin (Putt), an his sister Lois.

A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Crandall Funeral Home.
