Elva K. Hallam, age 97 passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 30, 1915 in Francis, Utah to John William and Betsey Matilda (Hammond) Kirkham.
She married John Garvin Hallam in September of 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming.
Mrs. Hallam enjoyed horse races and raising baby lambs. She was a farmer and enjoyed hard work.
She is survived by her son, Rex (Lynette) Hallam of Francis; daughters: Loraine (Tracy) Flygare of Delta; and Dixie Jean (Olen) McNeil Thompson
Also 13 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son William Kenneth McNeil and brothers, Arnold "Barney" Thomas, Bill Thomas, Sheldon Kirkham and Fay Kirkham;sisters Edna Swena and Juanita Van Tassell, also a grandson Edward Ace McNeil.
Funeral service will be on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Francis LDS Ward Chapel. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the service.
