“Roze and Bud together again”. Elmer Lloyd “Bud” Atkinson 1922-2017, West Jordan, age 95 passed away peacefully in his home July 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born February 7, 1922 in Francis, UT to Isaac Victor and Afton Lefler Atkinson. He married Rozella Cooley on June 30, 1941 in Heber City, UT. Their marriage was solemnized May 19, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
His life was spent in providing, serving, honoring, and enjoying his family. He was a master craftsman, skilled in carpentry, and construction. He loved music, especially when surrounded, shared, and performed by his family. Other hobbies he enjoyed were square dancing, gardening, and camping. He was a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a valiant servant of the Lord. He had a love for his country and was honored to serve in the US Navy during World War 11. His greatest love was his family and he left with them a legacy of love from the work of his hands, to the tune of his whistle.
Surviving are his children Sheri (Greg) Gabbert, Brigham City, Maxine (Mike) McKee, Providence, Dennis (Jeannene) Atkinson, Herriman, D’Launa (Lorenz) Rindlisbacher, Murray, Galyn (Jan) Atkinson, Taylorsville, LeAna Marie (Bruce) Olson, West Jordan, Kalene (Danny) Palmer, West Jordan, 39 grandchildren, 127 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and two sisters Audrey Mitchell, Murray, Janice (Jack) Mitchell, Kamas, Preceded in death by his sweetheart, one great-grand child, parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Viewing will be held Thursday August 3, 2017 from 6-8 pm and Friday August 4, 2017 10:30-11:30 am. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm.
All services will be held at the LDS Chapel, 7150 S. Callie Dr. (1520 W) West Jordan, UT.
Interment at the Francis Cemetery, Francis, UT with military honors will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Directors, Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, UT.
