Ellsworth Richard (Rick) Lingle ll
July 27, 1948 - August 30, 2013
Rick Lingle, 65, Ft. Bridger, WY, died early Friday morning due to an ongoing heart condition.
He was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota, son of Mary Lou Lingle and the Late Ellsworth Richard Lingle. He was happily married to Linda Lee Lingle for 25 years.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; a daughter, Julie Slaugh of Green River, WY; a son, Derral Slaugh (Cindy) of Rawlins, WY; a son, Deen Slaugh (Dustie) of Melburne, WY; a son, Richard Lingle (Trudi) of Buffalo, WY; a son, Wyatt Lingle (Misti) of Mountain View, WY; a daughter, Ashlee Rice of Westminster, CO; a son, Jeremiah Lingle of West Point, UT; a son, Clay Rice (Fawn) of Robertson, WY; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Candice Long of Eden, WY; mother, Mary Lou Lingle of Ft. Bridger, WY.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth R. Lingle; a sister, Winnie Goldsberry; a sister, Hazel Barnes; grandfather, George E. Lingle; grandfather, Pete Morgan; grandmother, Hazel Morgan.
Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, camping, 4 wheelers and shooting. He loved to work on vehicles with his sons and would talk to just about anyone who would listen. But most of all, Rick loved spending time with his family.
He was a member of the NRA, Legion and Miners Association.
He was an Air Force Veteran, serving in Turkey during the Vietnam War.
He worked at FMC for 36 years (1977 – 2013)
Services for Rick were held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Urie Stake Center followed by a salute at the Legion Hall. A big thank you to the community for all the support.
