Elaine Henley Anderson Booth ~ August 28, 1924 - April 12, 2012
Elaine Louise Henley Anderson Booth, 87, died peacefully at her home in Lacey, Washington on April 12, 2012. She was a life-long resident of Evanston until she moved to Washington state 4 1/2 years ago.
Elaine was born on August 28, 1924, in Evanston, the daughter of Albert F. Henley and Mabel (Warburton) Henley. She graduated from Evanston High School in 1942. She married Andrew T. Elaine worked as the Uinta County Deputy Clerk for many years until her retirement. She also worked in the food industry during her early years as a waitress and cook. Her last employment adventure was hostess at Lottie's Restaurant. She was a hard worker, good at her jobs and enjoyed life with co-workers and customers. It was said that Elaine was the "Queen Bee" where ever she worked.
In years past you could find Elaine out on the Purple Sage golf course attempting a try at the game of golf or bowling with all her good friends, taking fun trips to national bowling tournaments. She loved playing pinochle with her friends and sister, Joyce at the senior center. Elaine could out last and out shop anyone. She loved buying new clothes without trying them on and many clothes hung in her closet with the tags still on them. In her later years Elaine would be seen at the physical therapy pool swimming with her friends. She loved getting her hair done every week and thought very highly at the girls at Hair, Etc. While not much a person to enjoy crafts, her past time was her word puzzles to keep her mind sharp.
Elaine was particularly close to her two loving sisters, Joyce Holmes and Marjorie Roccaro. They were nearly inseparable and lived in the same town they were born in until Elaine's move. That was a hard move and she longed for the time she would be able to go back home. She loved all her family and cherished her time with them, wherever she lived.
Elaine is survived by one son, Michael (Kay) Anderson, South Jordan, Utah and one daughter Marjean (Sid) Otton, Tumwater, Washington; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her beloved sisters, Joyce Holmes.
