Edward “Ed” Kenney, 83, died unexpectedly March 24, 2022, in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born on March 3rd, 1939, in Dayton, Kentucky. He was the son of Edward and Thelma Kenney.
Ed graduated from Dayton High School in 1956 and started his adult life by serving in the USAF until 1960. Ed moved around a lot in his younger years. He lived in Kentucky, Utah, Ohio, and many other places. He eventually landed in Bridger Valley which he loved and lived in until he moved to the Rocky Mountain nursing home in Evanston, WY in 2020.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Thelma Kenney, his wife Polly Kenney, stepson David Jaques and many other loved ones. He is survived by his children, Corina Fredrickson, Tina Auger, Julie Kenney, Emily Lee, and Jody Lamb, and by his step children Tammy Gross and Russell Kersey, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ed had many passions and careers in his lifetime. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time enjoying them while camping and fishing. Ed was known for his humor and his ability to touch everyone’s hearts. In his golden years he had a passion for pencil drawing and coloring. He loved sharing them with his friends and fellow residents.
A special thanks too many family and friends who spent a lot of time visiting and hanging out with Ed and that helped him with his needs. A special thanks to the staff and residents of Rocky Mountain nursing home.
Ed chose to be cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
