Edna Slagowski
Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend passed away at Evanston Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness on September 5, 2012 into the loving arms of her husband Eugene.
Edna was born in her grandparents’ home in Heber, Utah on September 7, 1931. Mom grew up on her family ranch in Hilliard and was always a very hard worker. She loved rodeo, riding horses, and she was Miss Cowboy Days in 1952. Her greatest service was to her husband and granddaughter Britt. She had a big heart and never knew a stranger. While her Journey was filled with accomplishments and challenges, joy and pain, happiness and heartache, she always thought about her family and others first.
She is survived by her two daughters; Betty (Danny) Mathson and Linda (Tim) Purcell. Three grandchildren; Brittany Mathson, Brad (Jen) Purcell, and Nicole (Joey) Budge. Four great grandchildren; Casey and Kate Budge, McKinnon and Alexandria Purcell.
