Douglas Dean George - innovator, stargazer, foodie, outdoor enthusiast and airplane expert, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 surrounded by loved ones in a place that was dear to him and his family. Doug was born April 18, 1969 in Provo, Utah as the first of nine children to Emery and Brenda George. Predominantly growing up in Kamas, Utah, Doug lived in and traveled to many wonderful places.
Doug was the most generous person you would have ever known. Although reserved, Doug could still talk your ear off! When Doug spent time with you, he made you feel particularly special as it was always the most quality time. He was loyal, hardworking and dedicated to his family. Doug was an amazing father and loved his wife and children dearly. He was a top-notch son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Doug is survived by his wife: Lindsey; children: Zoie (7) and Dylan (2); parents: Emery and Brenda; as well as his eight siblings and many nieces and nephews. He is most recently preceded in death by Grandma Shirley Simpson and niece Arabella Crystal.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with a viewing from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM at the Kamas LDS Church, 100 W Center St. Doug will be buried in Francis, Utah. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas.
