Dorothy Louise Willie Wagstaff, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2015 in Oakley, Utah. She was born in Lyman, WY, May 21, 1926 to Vernal Willie and Dorothy Bird Willie, the eldest of 5 children. Louise later moved to Brigham City, Utah and graduated from Box Elder High School and Utah State University. Louise married Albert Smith Wagstaff October 6, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they made their home in Kamas, Utah. She was a teacher, violinist, member of Choralettes singing group and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers; temple worker, and a faithful servant in the LDS Church.
She is survived by her husband Albert, and six children; Dorothy Laney (Blaine), David (Linda), Rebecca Jackson (Keven), Karl (Debbie), Marcile Howes (Randall), and Amy Yost (Jim); 31 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; sisters Norma Jean Ross and Elaine Melcomian, and brother John Willie.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 12 noon at the Kamas Utah LDS Chapel, 100 West Center Street. Viewing will be held from 10 to 11:45 am prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home Kamas, Utah.
