Dorothy Lee Dobrinski Stengel, 83, passed away at her home in Evanston, WY on Tuesday, August 05, 2014. She was born on July 30, 1931 in Delta, CO to Clarence “Jack” and Delores Richardson Austin.
Dorothy was a world class seamstress and owned and operated her custom sewing business, Dottie’s Fancy Workshop, for over 30 years in Lafyette, CO and had clients all over the United States. She loved to travel the world and spent time in Japan and Germany. She moved to Evanston, WY in 2006 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She loved to garden and had many house plants. She was a book worm and always enjoyed a good book. She had several Dachshund dogs over the years that she loved. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her son Robert (Sherry) Patnode of Cassville, MO; daughter Debra (Gary) Simonton of Evanston, WY; son Richard Patnode of Evanston, WY; granddaughter Cindy Patnode; grandson Gary (Erika) Simonton; granddaughter Lisa (Jared) Gibby; great grandson Randall Coley; great granddaughter Kylee Gibby; brother Jack Austin of Austin, CO; and sister Joy Allmon of Grand Junction, CO.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband Donald Patnode; husband Paul Dobrinski; husband Charles Stengel; and brother Clarence Austin Jr.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home and no services are scheduled as this time.
