Doris May Turner Rahberger passed away at her home in Lyman, Wyoming on July 4, 2015 at the age of 95. She was born in Santa Monica, CA on June 22, 1920 to Albert and Mary Kathrin Turner.
Doris enjoyed country dancing, and playing the tambourine. In her younger days, she played in a number of bands and jammed with Spade Cooley, Hank Williams, Tex Williams, and on the Spade Cooley Show. Doris enjoyed ranching in Arizona and eventually moving to Bridger Valley where she enjoyed doing family history work. Throughout her life, she always had a deep love of animals, and especially for her dogs.
Doris is survived by her grandchildren Linda and Danny Williams; Larry and Fawn Cooley, and Curt and Kay Cooley, as well as many great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her step children Anita Mendez and Judy Smith; nephew Johnny and Cathy Cooley, as well as Betty and Carol Turner.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Larry Rahberger and her son Larry Bert Cooley.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time.
