Donaciano Martinez

Donaciano Martinez, “Don”, 87 returned to our Father in Heaven Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in his place of residence in Evanston, WY.  Viewing and funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY.  The service will begin at 2 pm with the viewing 1 hour prior.

Mr. Don Martinez was born August 28, 1926 in Amila, New Mexico to Julian Martinez and Rebecca Montoya.  He lived most of his life in Utah and Wyoming.

He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Abeyta in 1958.  She returned  to our Father in Heaven in 2006.

Don was enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and was Honorably Discharged in 1945.  He loved to spend time hunting and fishing with his family.  They also hared wonderful memories at sheep camp.  He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister Maggie Duran and family of Costia, New Mexico; daughters, Dolores Delgado of Evanston, WY, Barbara Brizulea of Evanston and Josephine Young of Greely, CO.; sons Arthur Martinez of Randolph, UT., Donald Martinez of Annex, OR. and Freddie Martinez of Ely, NV.; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Delina and Gilber JR. Delgado; Donnalisa Martinez and Roman Brizulea, Mike and Shane Young, Heather, Sammie and Derek Markinez; Amber Lingle and Andria Battle; his great-grandchildren, Gilber Delgado lll, Dylan Luna, Sterling Bragg, Micah Martinez, Tati Mendaz and RayJhon Williams, Miley and Elliot Lingle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and sisters; and his wife Elizabeth.

Food is to be served after the funeral at the Evanston, Wyoming South Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
