Dixie Lee (Crittenden) Johnson completed her journey in this life on the morning of July 31, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dixie was born January 16, 1951 in Coalville, Utah the daughter of Ralph and Marvel (Jorgensen) Crittenden.
She grew up in Francis, Utah making lots of memories and friends. She graduated from South Summit High School in Kamas. During her school years, Dixie was active in rodeo, barrel racing and pole bending. She also was Rodeo Queen in Coalville and Kamas. She was a cheerleader for four years and crowned homecoming queen.
Following high school, Dixie attended Brigham Young University earning her a bachelor’s degree in child psychology.
Living the majority of her life in the Salt Lake area, Dixie enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. She loved being a Dog Mom to Jack and Sammy.
She spent most of her career in the travel industry which enabled her to visit many places around the world.
Dixie is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marvel Crittenden and her younger brother Bill Crittenden.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Crystal (Sean) Smith of Farmington, Utah; one brother Mike (Ruth) Crittenden of Francis, UT; one sister, SueAnn (Brad) Dickson, of Vernal, Utah; seven nieces and nephews, Shane (Melanie) Crittenden, Wyatt (Shaley) Crittenden, Matt (Andrea) Crittenden, Tim (Mandy) Crittenden all of Francis, UT; Misty (Darrell) Shawcroft of Lehi, UT; Ashley (Brett) Haslem of Vernal, UT; and Michael (Jaisha) Evans of St. George, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at Crandall Mortuary 105 East Center Street in Kamas, Utah on Friday, August 6th, 2021. Viewing for family and friends at 10:00-10:45, with the funeral following at 11:00. Burial will be in the Francis Cemetery.
Dixie has many that love and care for her, she always will be dearly missed.
