Dixie Day

October 24, 1952 — December 10, 2017

Dixie Lee Louder Day 10/24/1952 to 12/10/2017.  She was born in Coalville, UT to Gerald (Jerry) and BoDean Louder.  She was raised in Marion Utah and spent her adult years in the Ogden area.  Her mother passed on 04/26/1969, however, she gained a wonderful stepmom Doris soon after.

She married Michael Day 07/11/1970 and later divorced.  Dixie enjoyed being outdoors in the forest or on the water; she loved to create anything and everything from cooking, sewing, decorating, gardening but most of all she loved creating memories.  Dixie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her body has been failing her for a while, therefore limiting her ability to participate in the joys of life.  These memories that she was determined to create will live on forever in the stories and things she created.

On her mother's birthday and again on Mother's Day she would faithfully take the time to recognize her mom by placing a single red rose on her grave every year after her passing.

The family would like to thank everyone at Fairfield Village Rehabilitation Center.  Especially Natalie Newhouse, Speech Therapist, and Gerald Rowley, Occupational Therapist.  With no one knowing the internal battle Dixie was facing their unwavering support was refreshing.  At times it was difficult to tell whether they or her family wanted her to return to health faster.  We only wish you could have known her in her vibrant days.  Thank you!

Dixie is survived by Jerry and Doris Louder (father and mother), Tamra Louder (sister), David and Joan Louder (brother), Tony and Judy Louder (brother), Todd Louder (brother), Ralph and JoAnn Hallam (sister), Lynn Prescott (brother in-Law), Patsy Lewis (sister), Mick and Jerri Sue Clegg (sister), Tracie Graham (sister), Rob White (boyfriend);  Derrick and Angie Day (son), Dennis and Stacy Day (son), Troy and Denise Judkins (daughter).  Her 7 (all boys) grandchildren: Brodie, Taylor and Megan Kenzie Day (grandson), Braxton, Carson, Tyler, Justin, Brogan and her one and only girl, great grand-daughter Kayzleigh.  She was preceded in death by BoDean Louder (mother) and Kayla Prescott (sister).
