Demont W “Slim” Lott was reunited with his sweetheart on January 19, 2018. He was born February 4, 1922 to Marion F and Letha Lott.
He married Zola Mae Phippen on June 18, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Demont served a mission in northern California. When he returned home he enlisted in the Marine Corp in WWII. He was a radio operator in Okinawa, Japan. He was wounded there and was awarded a purple heart
Demont had various jobs. He worked at Kamas State Bank for many years, operated a gas station in Park City, and was a clerk at SS School District.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, served in many
callings. He was involved in bishoprics, stake callings, and scouting. He and Zola Mae served a mission in Columbus, Ohio. They also served in the Salt Lake temple for 13 1/2 years.
He loved his family.
Survived by Lynda (Joe) Burrie, Judy (Jeff) McNeil, Louise (James) Wilson, Thayne (Bobbie) Lott, Marion (Kaye) Lott, Tonia (Jack) Walkenhorst, Royal (Kim) Lott, Cory (Sandi) Lott, Karlee (Jerry) Bird and Alfonso Bustamante.
46 Grandchildren, 101 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Jan. 24, 2018
at 11:00 in the Kamas LDS ward chapel, 100 W Center Street. A viewing also at the church Tuesday night from 6 to 8 and one hour prior to the service.
Interment with military honors will be in the Marion Cemetery under
the direction Crandall Funeral Home- Kamas.
