Dee Allison

January 27, 1944 — February 18, 2019

Dee Allison
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard Dee Allison, age 75, passed away on February 18, 2019 in Ogden, Utah.
Dee was born on January 27, 1944 in Visalia, California to Andrew and Jeanne (Archer) Allison.
On March 11, 1964 Dee married the love of his life, Terry Wagstaff in Hilliard, Wyoming.  They went on to have three children and share a magnificent love for each other, teaching us all what true love is all about.
Earlier in his life Dee suffered a work accident that placed him in a wheelchair for the last 46 years. Despite the tremendous changes in his life he never complained and he continued to pursue an active and passionate life. He had a great love for the outdoors and nature, traveling with friends and family, and especially trips to Wendover where he showed off his talents as a skilled blackjack player.  Dee was also a gifted and self-taught painter of landscapes, and after his accident pottery, and he continued to paint for many years after his accident.
He was also a devoted supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, and was recognized many times for his long-time support of the organization.
One of Dee’s great passions was collecting artifacts. His love of American history kept him busy collecting coins, guns, bottles, pottery, and Native American relics for his entire life.
Most important to him was visiting with friends and family. Those conversations will be treasured and he will be missed immensely.
Dee is survived by his loving wife, Terry, of Hoytsville; his sons, Clay W. (Angela) Allison, of Taylorsville; and Clint (Amy) Allison of Heber City; and his daughter, Lonnie D. (Neil) Dawson, of Upton; grandchildren: Davey, Brooklon, Jayde, Kasey, Kodee, Mason, and Wyatt; and his 3 great grandchildren;   His brother, Chick Davidson of Visalia, CA; and his sister Sue Allison of Kanab, Utah.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Tweak, Ence, Tuney, and Frankie.
Funeral service will be on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coalville L.D.S. Stake Center. Viewing will be at the church on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
