Debra Fae Moore-Wiitala, 61, lifelong resident of Evanston, Wyoming, peacefully passed away on February 3, 2023, with her husband and her brother by her side at the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Debra was born in Ogden, Utah on March 12, 1961, to Gene and Dorothy (Stevenson) Moore. When she was 11 years old, Brian Conway entered her life to become her stepfather and she adored him. After Debra graduated from Evanston High School, she held many career roles, with her most favored as a veterinarian technician.
On March 28, 1982, Debra’s son, Brian was born. She married Chet on July 14, 1991, and they celebrated 31 years together.
Debra loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved animals, especially her many cats, dogs, and horses she had throughout her lifetime. Debra also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, hiking, boating, and loved to read and cook. She cherished family above all else.
Debra joins her son, Brian in heaven who passed away on July 14, 2021. Debra is also preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother, Robert Arthur Moore, and sister, Bonnie Jean Moore. Debra is survived by her husband, Chet, brother, Ron (Sylvia) Moore, stepchildren, Ryan, Fawn, and Allen Wiitala, grandchildren, Jasmine, Christian and James Wiitala, Arabella and Aubrey Perala, John and Jacob Wiitala, Dillon Wiitanen, Reagan Dawn Moore- Wiitala, her daughter-in-law, Desiree Wiitala, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cats.
A celebration of life will be held for Debra at the Bear River Ponds Community Center and Pavilion on Friday, July, 14, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow.
