Danny Lee Putnam “Putter” passed away at his home in Randolph, Utah on July 5, 2013. Danny was born June 3, 1948 in Coalville, Utah to Elden and Olive Mills Putnam.
He attended Evanston High School through his Junior year and then attended South Rich High School graduating in 1966. He joined the Wyoming National Guard in April of 1967 and served his country for 6 years. He trained in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and later was honorably discharged in 1973.
He married Connie Eastman on November 18, 1967 and then later sealed in the Bountiful LDS Temple in 2009. Two daughters were born to them; Danalee and Sandra Dee.
Danny ranched up Woodruff Creek his whole life and also worked at Chevron Coal Mine in Kemmerer for 33 years, but had to retire in 2009 due to health problems caused from Multiple Myeloma Cancer. He enjoyed good food, good friends, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, working, and loved watching his grandchildren grow up. He loved to provide things for other people to enjoy. He always enjoyed a good laugh and had a sense of humor that he shared with lots of people. He will be greatly missed by many.
Danny is survived by his wife Connie Putnam, daughter Danalee (Geo) Peart and their 6 children, Oliver, Maud, Emmalee, Ellen, Savannah & Annie Peart; daughter Sandra Dee (Logan) Staheli and their 3 children, Maddi, Danny, & Olivia Staheli. He is also survived by his sisters Marion Lee, Glenna Stonebraker, Sally Thornhill, Elda Wickham, and Barbara Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elden and Olive, a sister Judy Putnam, a brother Deverl Putnam, and brother Blaine Putnam.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11 am at the Randolph LDS Ward Chapel. Family will greet friends for a “Walk down memory lane” on Tuesday, July 9 at the Randolph Chapel from 6 to 8 pm as well as 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will take place in the Randolph Cemetery following services.
