Dan A Youngberg passed away peacefully in his home in Lyman, Wyoming surrounded by his family on July 30, 2022.
On January 13, 1942, Alice and Adolph Youngberg were blessed with a 13 pound baby boy. Dan was the baby of the family of one sister and four brothers.
Dan was a hard worker and made a living with his hands. He was a pipe fitter, welder, and carpenter. He worked all kinds of construction jobs with his dad and brothers, numerous construction companies and was a Forman at Allied Chemical. Dan owned and operated a construction company called Mountain West Construction. At the age of 46 he sold the company and retired.
In 1964 Dan was drafted in the Army to serve his country during the Vietnam war. After basic training he came home on leave to marry his “Sunday Girl” Charla Green. The were married on May 22, 1965.
Dan and Charla made their home in Lyman, Wyoming next to Dan’s parents. On April 8, 1966, their first daughter, Bobbi Jo was born. Just two years later on May 13, 1968, a second daughter Joli Lynn came along. Last but not least on April 3, 1970, Christy Lee completed the family.
Dan was proud of his “four girls”.
This man of many talents always had to be busy. He had several hobbies. As a carpenter and welder, the things he made were works of creative art. Dan loved to spend time with his family in the great outdoors. He liked hunting, camping, 4 wheeling and later rides in the side by side. But most of all he loved fishing.
Dan is survived by his wife Charla; his 3 daughters, Bobbi Clark; Joli Youngberg; and Christi Youngberg. He will also be missed by his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Alice Youngberg, his sister Velma Hanks, and brothers, Robert, Wesley, Jerry, and Lamar.
Graveside services with military honors will be on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
