Craig Allan Gines passed away at home on Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born on February 19, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Allan and Iclea (Fuelling) Gines.
Craig was a Fire Fighter in Summit County for thirty seven years. He was instrumental in getting a fire station in the town of Woodland. He served as a Fire Commissioner in Summit County. He enjoyed taking his ranger for rides in the mountains, camping, and spending winters in Mesquite, and he loved his dogs and family.
Craig is survived by his sisters: Laraine (Brad) Lawrence of Las Vegas, Nevada; Diane (Kelvin) Burgener of Heber, Utah; Debbie (Larry) Richardson of Duchesne, Utah; Sandra (David) Roberts of Woodland, Utah; Shirley (Gary) Johnson of Francis, Utah and Connie (Wes) Chestnut of Duchesne, Utah; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion and best friend, his dog Slick.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lyle Gines and John Gines and a niece, Michelle Burgener.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Cancer Fund at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Craig’s name would be very, appreciated.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the DeJoria Building, 970 North SR 32, Kamas. A viewing will be held Friday evening at Crandall Funeral Home, 105 East Center Street, Kamas, Utah, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at the DeJoria Building on Saturday. Interment will be at the Woodland Cemetery directly after the funeral service.
