Connie Jean (Wall) Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Hockinson, WA. She was born November 16, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Lloyd and Marie (Robinson) Wall. She was raised on a ranch in Robertson, WY. Connie’s life was deeply rooted in the beauty of nature and the art of creativity. She enjoyed taking care of the animals and riding her father’s racehorses. She graduated from Mountain View High School and Stevens-Henager College. She worked for a time for Lockheed in Burbank, California.
She married Don Taylor July 19, 1958 and together they had three children, Vauna, Wanda, and Brian. She was employed at the Uinta County Bank and then worked many years and retired from Bridger Valley Electric Association. She was an avid camper and rock hunter and had a fondness for sweet peas, which she carefully tended to every spring. A talented artist, Connie found joy in painting the landscapes and memories that shaped her life. She was also an avid reader, always finding time to get lost in a good book. Her love of reading was matched only by her skill with a needle and thread. She was a talented seamstress, from sewing western shirts for Don to outfits for her daughters or their Barbie dolls.
Don passed away April 18, 2007. A special friend, Chuck Hamilton came into her life. They enjoyed spending winters in Mesquite, Nevada, their summers in the Bridger Valley, and their holidays with family. She had a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face when they were around.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, son-in-law Tom Wilcock, sisters Halaine Roitz and LaRee Hurdsman, and brother-in-laws Felix Roitz and Gary Peterson. She is survived by her children Vauna Wilcock, Wanda (Jeff) Kline, and Brian Taylor, , eight grandchildren - Jeremy (Amy), Jacie, Joshua (Lindsey), Kasha (Johnny), Bryce, Sidney, Charlie and Sophie, and six great grandchildren - Vivienne, Violet, Evelyn, Waylon, Grayson and Wyatt, sister Sheryl Peterson, brother-in-law Glen Hurdsman and many nieces and nephews.
