Comet Bettinson

Comet Lavern (Rollins) Bettinson, 79 years, passed away from natural causes September 22, 2020 at her home in Evanston.

Comet was born June 27, 1941 in Evanston to Sherman Eugene Rollins and Mary Ellen Burdick Rollins. She was a member of the VFW, Eagles and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Comet was very crafty, which included crocheting, sewing and beadwork which she enjoyed giving to others. She also enjoyed going to the Kemmerer Senior Center and Jody’s Diner where she had many friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Francis William Bettinson; her children, Robert (Rachel) Bettinson, Tim (Ilene) Bettinson, Kevin (Kubby) Bettinson, Brenda (Travis) Talbot, Troy (Heather) Bettinson; many grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Claudia (Rollins) Bennett along with many nieces and nephews.

Comet is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Ellen Laverne Bettinson, one son William Eugene Bettinson, sisters Beth Hinds and Lois Sims, brothers Ron Rollins, Floyd Rollins and Rex Rollins.

At this time, there will be no service due to COVID-19 and a graveside will occur at a later date.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Hamblin Park in Evanston.
