Kamas

Colton Lance Crawford, son of Teresa and Lance Crawford, was born December 17th, 1997, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in the Kamas Valley and graduated from South Summit High School in 2016. With a gentle soul, and honorable character, he was a man of few words - yet those who knew him, understood his genuine integrity and humility.  However, his discipline, teamwork, and work ethic made him an outstanding individual and athlete. He had a great passion for football and loved being a part of the 2014 State Championship team his Junior Year. His continued diligence and obedience on the field, and kind-demeanor earned him the role of team captain his Senior year while also receiving honors as an All-State athlete.

Colton was born with a great curiosity for the world. He devoured books containing information about noteworthy historical leaders, military strategies, and the teachings of philosophers. His favorite topics being Ancient Rome and Julius Caesar. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent countless hours fishing, hunting, swimming, and hiking with his golden retriever Max. Colton worked with his dad, brother, and dear family friend Moises as a landscape equipment operator throughout high school and many years after.

Colton is best known for his quiet kindness, often being referred to as “a gentle giant”. He was the ideal big brother to his younger siblings Dillon and Chloe, always offering words of encouragement and guidance. He cherished the time spent with his family on their countless trips of camping, boating, and snowmobiling. He is loved beyond measure, and will be greatly missed.

Colton passed away on February 3rd, 2024 at the age of 26. He is survived by his parents Lance and Teresa, his brother and best friend Dillon, and beloved sister Chloe, as well as his Grandmother Jill Crawford Simmons, Grandparents Lynn and Dina Smith. Preceded in death by his Grandfather “Papa” Glen Crawford and Aunt Casey.

In honor of him, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Oakley Red Barn (4300 N UT Hwy 32, Oakley, UT) on February 17th, 2024.
