Christine Flugel

Our dear mother Christine Pearl Flugel (Aldrich) sadly passed away on August 10th, at 4:23 PM.

Chris was born December 18th, 1937, in Lyman, Grafton County, New Hampshire to Theron and Minnie (Parker) Aldrich.  She was the 4th of six children, four preceded her in death.  Chris was born in Lyman New Hampshire and raised on a farm attending school in Lyman and Lisbon New Hampshire.

Chris was wed to Richard William Wentworth from 1954 to 1974.  Three children were born from this union, Debra, Mark, and Boyd.  Due to Richard’s line of work as a millwright the family was relocated often.  The family made a home in Urie, Wyoming in the early 1970’s.  Chris dedicated her life to being a wonderful full-time mother.

Chris married James (Jim) R. Flugel on December 18th, 1981 and blended her family with his three children: Joe Flugel, Cayle Flugel and Liana Flugel.

Jim’s suddenly passed in 2008 and it was very difficult for Chris losing her loving partner in life.  Chris later sold her home in Urie and moved to Yuma, Arizona in 2013.  She spent several years in Yuma during the winters enjoying the warmer weather and making friends.  She then spent time with each of her children during the summers.

Chris worked for a few years as a nurse’s aide caring for patients at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston.  She was later employed and eventually retired from FMC.

Chris was an amazing seamstress, gardener, and artist which the family has many beautiful paintings and portraits.  Her compassionate nature was exemplified in her love for animals.  She loved to go dancing and travel and often traveled with her children.  She was a very loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents Theron and Minnie(Parker) Aldrich and her siblings Florence (John) Mackie, Myron (Bud)(Della) Aldrich, Ernest (Judy) Aldrich, and Deanne Blodgett.

Chris is survived by her brother, Ronald Aldrich; her children, Debra (Allan) Lindemood, Mark (Kathleen) Wentworth, Boyd Wentworth and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
