Cheryl Lynn Rowe Beckstead was born October 26th, 1954 to parents George and Winifred Rowe. Cheryl is survived by her husband and love of her life Gary, and by her sons and daughters: Brian and Shanae, Tara and Brian, Troy and Kristy, Cherise and Toby along with 14 adoring and energetic grandchildren and a host of loved ones adopted into her family. Cheryl is the seventh of ten children in the Rowe Family.
Cheryl and Gary savored more than 42 years as husband and wife, eternal companions, and best friends. In life, they were inseparable teammates deeply devoted to supporting each other and their family; their life together defined by faith, service and love. She was the very best friend when loyalty mattered, a trusted confidant in troubled times, an unfailing smile in a sad moment and a contagious laugh just when you needed it. She was adventurous yet reliable, brave yet vigilant, strong yet kind - in a word, the perfect grandmother. She loved to hike with the grandkids, drive a canyon with Gary, work out with friends at the Fitness Center or play games hours into the night with her kids.
Cheryl was a flawless mother and a boundless nurturer. Family is forever at the center of her life, and her understanding of family easily and lovingly includes friends, neighbors, ward members, her work family and anyone in need. While with us, she gracefully strived for excellence, never seeking the spotlight. She was our rock; quick to support, encourage, compliment and always made you feel loved. These are attributes of her character and the nature of her being. Her new home brightened upon her arrival, as we know she is there to love, encourage and serve family, as is her way.
Cheryl passed peacefully at home in her sleep of natural causes on the morning of January 24th, 2018. We appreciate the condolences and prayers from all who love her. Words are inadequate to express our eternal love for her and how much we will miss her. We celebrate her life, follow her example, and cherish her memory until our happy reunion with her.
I used to think it would be nice to be taught by angels....then I realized I was...I looked and Cheryl was there.
