Charles Albrecht

Charles William Albrecht, 80 passed away after a short stay in the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was born in Evanston Wyoming on July 5, 1938 to Carl and Miriam Albrecht. Charles attended college at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Wyoming, after which he went to work for the Wyoming Highway Department for several years. He met Cheryl Parry in Ogden, Utah and they were later married in Ogden on June 11, 1965. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Charles and Cheryl started and ran a successful surveying business for many years. They would go on many adventures through the years that included mineral prospecting and gold dredging throughout the western states and the Yukon. They met and made friends with many people along the way. They had a special love for animals and raised shelties throughout their marriage. After Cheryl passed away earlier this year, Charles struggled to get over the absence of his wife of 53 years. He had many neighbors and people from the Hilliard ward bring him food and they would stop and visit with him. He was very grateful for their friendship and care. Charles is survived by his loving dog, Bobby, his sister in-law, Diane Albrecht of Evanston, a brother in-law, Doug {Janie} Parry of Yuma, AZ and many nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl, mother and father and brother Carl Russell Albrecht Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held for both Charles and Cheryl at their home in Wild River Ranches on July 20,2019 Please contact the family for times.
