Our beloved son, brother and uncle, C.D. Rushton, was taken from us far too soon and unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in a car accident on January 17, 2022.
Casey Don (C.D.) was born on November 14, 1996 to Steve and Penni in Salt Lake City and grew up in Kamas, UT. He was the youngest of 4 with two older brothers and a sister, but considered an extra son to so many friends.
C.D. graduated from South Summit High School in 2015, where he enjoyed playing baseball, football, and ballroom dancing, but especially loved being a part of the FFA & rodeo team. He continued his hobby of bull riding for a couple years after high school. He was currently working on finding his path in life and had just started a new job working in the coal mines near Price.
Whether it be in a cheerleader’s uniform during homecoming, his infamous clown mask working a haunted house, or singing his favorite songs on Tiktok, he was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest. C.D. had the biggest heart and cared about everyone he knew. He could turn anyone’s bad day into a good one with his positive words, and uplifting motivational thoughts. He loved to fish and always had a story to tell about his latest catch. He loved his mama fiercely and often called just to chat and to tell her about his day. C.D. also loved his nieces and nephews unconditionally, and would do anything for them at any cost.
C.D. is survived by his parents, Steve Rushton, Penni and Van Warr, Sister Tana Forman (Joe), Brothers Chris Rushton (Justine) and Dallas Rushton (Jesi), 2 nieces Madison and Presley, 5 nephews William, Ricky, Tucker, Ruger and Clarksen. Step siblings (and families) Amy Back (Randy), Jesse Warr (Bethany), J.T. Warr (Pam) and Laura Allen (Daniel), Grandmothers Dixie Perry and Lynn Rushton, Grandparents Brent Rushton (Marilyn), many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A viewing for C.D. will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Kamas Utah Stake Center in Marion from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11 am with a viewing at 10 am. Interment will be at the Marion Utah Cemetery on Upper Loop Road.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to those that so lovingly and kindly took care of CD in his last moments, as well as all who reached out offering kind words.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family with the funeral expenses at https://gofund.me/fcef2e7c
