Carol Ruth (Bruce) Bunot, 80, of St. George, UT, passed away on March 27, 2023. She was born on September 26, 1942, in Evanston, WY to Joseph Wilson (Skip) and Ruth Eliza (Willoughby) Bruce. She has been reunited with her eternal love, Kenneth J Bunot, to whom she was married on November 17, 1962. They were later sealed to each other and their children for time and all eternity on February 2, 1980 in the Ogden, UT Temple.
Carol’s greatest love was her family. She cherished her time spent with them. She always loved being in the mountains. When she was a young girl, she would spend time in the summer, with her sister, playing at her grandfather’s sheep camp. During her life, she and her family spent most summers in the mountains of Wyoming camping and riding horses. She also enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Her home and yard were always beautiful because of the work she dedicated to taking care of it. Carol was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over the years, she held various positions in the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary programs. Her most beloved calling was serving along-side her husband in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
Carol is survived by her children, Tammy Bunot (Ilona) of St. George, UT. Doug Bunot (Shelly) of Rock Springs, WY. Bridget Porter of Worland, WY, and Traci Daley (Mike) of Franklin, ID. Her sister, Linda Rood of Rock Springs, WY, and her brother John (Ann) Bruce of Green River, WY. Her grandchildren; Jeff (Michelle) Bunot, Bruce (Jen) Porter, Jessica (Adam) Dowdy, Jordan (Elizabeth) Bunot, Brian Porter, Braden Anderson, Kielan Anderson, Shaila Anderson, and Kylee Anderson. She also was a great-grandmother to 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Skip and Ruth Bruce, her in-laws Joseph and Arva Bunot, her sisters-in-law Pauline Rees, Merlyn Houston, and Beverly Hensen, and her grandson, Scott Trumble.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 am at Crandall Funeral Home 800 Uinta St, Evanston, WY, followed by the funeral at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at the Evanston, WY cemetery next to her husband.
