Bud Pope
Ft. Bridger-  Bud Farner Pope, 85,  passed away April 12, 2012  in Lyman, Wyoming.
He was born on October 7, 1926 in Green River, Wyoming to William Richard and Bessie Gertrude (Farner) Pope.
After completing high school Bud enlisted in the Army Air Corp.
On October 11, 1946 he married Violet Jeraldine Kelly in San Francisco, California.  She preceded him in death in 2003.
Bud was a very active member of the St. Helen’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He was always overseeing bingo and other activities at the church.   He also was very involved for many years with the Bridger Rendezvous.
He is survived by his sons, Terry (Delores Ann) Pope of Urie;  and Lanny (Pam) Pope of Lyman; and one sister, Ardyth Gerst of Council Bluffs, Nebraska.  Also 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, Wyoming.   Rosary will be on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the rosary.
Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
