Bruce William Aimone, 55 years young, Fort Bridger, Wyoming, passed on to the happy-water-spread in the first born moments of April 7, 2013, by natural causes. Bruce showed into this world September 15, 1957, in Coalville, Utah, to Martin Aimone and Gay C. Aimone (Sargent).
Bruce is the third of four, Joe and Colleen came earlier, and Chris came later. Bruce couldn’t wait to marry his young love—Brenda—and did so in 1977 at Farmington, Utah. Excited to make a life for his future family, Bruce attended Utah State University, started growing his family—Ben in 1978, Jon in 1980 and Matt in 1982—and graduated Utah State University in 1982 with a B.S. in Ag. Education with the Ag. Business option and a Business Administration minor. He also wrangled out 1 & 2 year certificates of completion in Agricultural Mechanization and certification in structural welding. He also got his Sperry-New Holland Dealer Service Technician Certificate. After that, he helped his sweetheart finish her education and built his family up to 7 – Thomas in 1985, Jake in 1990, Bo in 1992, and finally got his little girl – Behlee in 2000.
Bruce lived a life of service—to his livestock, community, and family. In his later years, he served as the chairman of the Cemetery Board, as a member of the Uinta County Predator Control Board, the Bridger Valley Joint Powers Board, the Grazing Land Board, the FFA Alumni Association, USU Alumni Association, and was a Ditch Rider for the Millburn Canal.
In Bruce’s formative years and while growing his family, working, and attending USU, Bruce stayed very active in extra curricular activities. To name a few, he competed as a member of the USU Wool and USU Livestock judging teams; he worked as a USU lab assistant in the Tractor Power Maintenance Class and acted as the Social Chairman of the USU Ag Tech Club. While in his high school years, he was a state place in wrestling and track, an all state football player, participated in student council, presided over the Jim Bridger Club FFA Chapter, received the Wyoming Star Chapter Farmer award, and received the Wyoming FFA Star Farmer Award.
In addition to agriculture and athletics, Bruce held a lifelong love for story telling special and unique jokes.
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda (Fort Bridger), sons Ben (Mandi), Jon (fiancé Cara), Matt (Stephani), Thomas (fiancé Dixie), Jake (fiancé Lilly), Bo, and daughter Behlee; grandchildren Spencer, Avilee, Mason, Sawyer, and Boston; his father Martin; his sisters Colleen and Chris; nephew Mike, nieces Amanda and Stormy; mother-in-law Vay Apgood, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
Bruce will be greeted in heaven by his mother Gay, brother Joe, father-in-law Lyle, a niece, a nephew, and a whole herd of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Thank you all for giving of yourselves in this time of need. The love, support, and kindness shown to, and by, his family, his friends, and his community have honored Bruce.
