Bruce Ross Burton, 77, passed away unexpectedly on November 8th, 2022, at his home in Evanston, Wyoming.
Bruce was born in Pocatello, Idaho, August 17th, 1945 to loving parents Francis G. Burton and Edna Monson Burton.
Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Monson Burton, and is survived by his sister, Lynn Bradak Burton.
Bruce graduated from Pocatello High School in 1963, and joined the U.S. Air Force later that year. He was stationed in Oxnard California, and Moses Lake Washington, where he worked in communications. He returned to Pocatello in 1968.
Bruce was married to Rebecca Thorne on July 17th, 1973 in Ely, Nevada, and welcomed their son Ross Thorne Burton on June 22nd, 1977, and daughter Emma Stonecypher Burton on May 16th, 1980.
In 1983 Bruce incorporated his reloading supply company, Stalwart Corporation. In 1995 Bruce relocated to Evanston, Wyoming, where he continued to run his business, and worked for a time at Carbon Fiber in Evanston, Wyoming.
Bruce was a gifted craftsman, welder, and fabricator. Bruce earned his gunsmith certificate in Trinidad, Colorado in the 1980s.
Bruce truly had the eye and heart of an artist, and would just as soon build anything he needed rather than purchase it.
Bruce was an avid and skilled shootist, and had intense passion for the outdoors, deserts and mountains alike.
Bruce enjoyed life and liberty to his very last day.
