Brad Welling passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the University of Utah Hospital. Brad was born January 27, 1957 in Tremonton, Utah to Don Udy and Afton Welling
He married Christine Sanders on August 24, 1977 in Ogden, Utah. Together they had two daughters, Amie and Jessica.
He worked for a time at Kallas Automotive and then at Superior Rental for twenty-five years. Brad enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, target shooting, backyard BBq’s with friends and family and pig hunting in Texas. He was a member of Evanston Cowboy Days Committee and was president for five years and served on the Evanston Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-two years.
He is survived by his wife Chris, daughters Amie (Matt) Petrie and Jessica (Steve) Mensing, mother Afton, sisters Diane (Curtis) Rex, Jean (Dave) Anderson, Jill (Jim) Smith, Janet (Steve) Alkire, brothers Calvin (Kathy) Welling, Brian (Kellie) Welling, Daivd (Wendy) Welling, Gary (Stacey) Welling and Mikal (Jenny) Welling, three grandchildren Melissa Petrie, Jaxson Petrie and Maddie Mensing, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Brad is preceded in death by his father Don Welling, sister Susan Lake, a brother-in-law Mike Lake, niece Melissa Anderson and nephews Zachary Welling and Jamedon Welling.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at the 4th Ward LDS Church at 200 Sage Street. A viewing will be held Sunday night at the church from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and one hour before the service on Monday. A graveside service will follow directly after funeral services at the Evanston City Cemetery.
