Our beloved Father, Grandfather & Friend , Bradford E McNeil passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 10, 2019 in West Jordan Utah. Brad was born in Coalville, UT March 17, 1946 to Elmer Earl McNeil and Vera Jean Carpenter McNeil. Brad attended South Summit and was a very popular guy in school, he was student body president, played football and was "the guy" every one wanted to date! Mom described him as "Dreamy" and was in love with him from the day she laid eyes on him. Brad married the love of his life BerNeta Wilde McNeil September 4, 1965 , their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple a year later. They enjoyed 38 short lived wonderful years of marriage as cancer robbed them of more time together. Dad lived 14 years without mom and no one ever replaced her. Through this union they had accomplished much together and had two sons and three daughters , 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 more on the way this fall, & many nieces and nephews. Brad was a graduate of the University of Utah and worked in many high profile positions for years, later in life he became self employed , Brad had a tax consulting firm, payroll business , and he was also a Broker for his real estate company. Brad worked endless hours serving his clients and enjoyed every minute of it, we felt at times we his family even had to make an appointment to see him because he lived and loved his clients and what he did so much! Brad enjoyed working to make others lives easier even when he tirelessly worked over a 20 hour day all of his life, most would say he worked himself to death because he always had that office light on to meet all the dead lines for his clients and sleep was not a priority, his clients were. Many knew Brad To always have a joke to tell and he was admired for his work ethic and dedication to his clients. Brad had an amazing bass voice and sang with his wife in his band for over 12 years. "The Soft Touch " they traveled with their band members on the weekends and played in many venues for the singles, Brad enjoyed singing and he and our mother gave us the love for singing. Brad loved riding his motorcycle and shooting and collecting guns, he was a genius and had a quick mind, he talked very fast and always had great advice to give. Brads legacy will live on forever through his children as he has taught us how to love, forgive & respect people, always do and give our best and always keep things in perspective. Brad fought a hard fight and suffered so much and we learned so much from him. Brad was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held numerous callings throughout his life, Brad lived his life with a forgiving heart and chose to see the best in everyone. Preceded in death by his wife BerNeta McNeil , mother and father, two brothers &, his infant son Brett C McNeil Survived by his four children Gina (Jared) Johnson , Marci (Richard) Palmer, Michelle (Kent) Card, Bryce (Shawna) McNeil and one brother.
