Bonnie Jean Fillin, 91, lifetime resident of Bridger Valley passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday December 10, 2016 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
She was born November 10, 1925 in Evanston, Wyoming. A daughter to Robert E. Hickey and Gladys Neilson Hickey. She attended schools in the Bridger Valley, graduating from Mountain View High School in 1943.
Bonnie married Gene Fillin February 5, 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming. The couple was blessed with three daughters; Tanya, Robin, and Wendy. Bonnie’s love was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed filling her home and the homes of her loved ones’ with beautiful wood/floral pieces she designed, and made herself. She also had a love for sewing. She made beautifully handmade clothes sewn with love for herself, her girls and her grandkids. She had joy in being outside in her yard and also loved a good book.
Survivors include her two daughters, Robin (Carl) Johnston; Lyman; Wendy (Pete) Aimone; Fort Bridger; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister, her husband Gene, her oldest daughter Tanya, and her grandson Lance.
Services will be held Friday, December 16th at the LDS church in Mountain View, Wyoming. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, with service to follow immediately at 11 am.. Interment will follow at the Fort Bridger cemetery.
