Green River – Blanche Drinkle, age 77, passed away May 23, 2014 after a lengthy battle of COPD. She was born in Rock Springs November 30, 1936 to Jacob and Traccia (Fessler) Overy.
After growing up in Evanston, WY she married Duane Drinkle on October 25, 1952 in Randolph, UT. They had 3 children; Don, Diane and Doug. She spent most of her life in Evanston, WY but also lived in Green River, WY, Star Valley Ranch, WY, St. George, UT, and Mountain View, WY through the years.
She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to reminisce about all of her memories and always looked forward to a nice visit with everyone. Her hobbies changed through the years; camping, bowling, golfing, dancing and traveling.
Blanche is survived by her 3 children; Don Drinkle and wife Pat, of Green River, WY, daughter Diane Tyler and husband Bob, of Green River, WY, son Doug Drinkle of Star Valley, WY, brother in law and sister in law Jim and JoAnn Drinkle of Green River, WY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Bobbie, DC, Earl Dale, Mindy, Kevan and Codi, also 10 great grandchildren; Brooke, Mercedes, Kayla, Kaytlin, Demi, Darcy, Aundra, Brandon, Hailey and Alijah and her cherished great great granddaughter Brianna. Blanche was so proud of the 5 generations. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and several dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Duane, parents Traccia and Jacob, father in law and mother in law Bill and Bertha Drinkle, brothers chuck, Larry, and David Overy and sister Tracy, along with many other family members.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12 noon at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street, Evanston, WY, with a viewing held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery, with a luncheon following graveside services at the Elm Street LDS Ward Building.
